When & Where: Tuesdays and Fridays

Tuesdays, 7:00-8:00 pm April 30th to May 21st  –  Centennial United Church – Assembly Hall (main floor)

Fridays, 6:30-7:30 pm May 3rd to 24th  –  Centennial United Church – Dance Studio (upstairs)

Price: $80 for VBDS members, $100 for non-members

Competition costs include Dancesport BC membership – $35, event admission depending on when your event is held – $50 for Saturday daytime, $35 for Sunday. For more information: Dancesport BC click here, Island Fantasy Ball click here.

In preparation for the Island Fantasy Ball Competition on June 1st and 2nd, VBDS is hosting a twice a week, four-week series of one-hour workshops (8-hours total) to encourage students to take the plunge and try something both terrifying and wonderful. Our goal is to create a supportive team of like-minded first time competitors. Under Victor’s careful guidance we will learn together and support each other both in the dance studio, at the event and on the comp floor. Figures taught will be at the Newcomer level in Waltz and Cha Cha = not too many and the emphasis will be on making you look great and feel confident. Because of the focus, even if you are on the fence or not interested in competing, the technique taught in these workshops will greatly improve all of your dances.

Registration will close one-week before the start of classes and if there are inadequate numbers, the class will be cancelled. Your early registration will help determine the viability of this class/workshop. If you want to pay later, pull down the “PayPal” field and change it to “Pay offline”, the reserve your spot.
