Get ready to shake off the winter blues and step into spring with a burst of colour, rhythm, and joy at our Spring Fling Fiesta!
Bring out your bold prints, florals, bright colours, or just come as you are – festive is the mood, not the rule!
Kick things off with a Rumba workshop led by the ever-charming and talented Victor Golubkov, one of our amazing VBDS instructors!
After the workshop, the fiesta begins! Enjoy an evening of lively social dancing with music to match the mood – think sunshine, blossoms, and just the right amount of spice.
What’s in store:
- Rumba workshop with Victor Golubkov at 7:00 pm
- Solo tables for those coming on their own
- Two ballroom-style line dances everyone can join
- Light refreshments and a welcoming atmosphere

Get ready to strut your stuff like a silver screen star at our Hollywood Glam-themed social dance! Whether you’re channeling Audrey, Elvis, or your inner red-carpet rebel, come dressed to dazzle and ready to dance like everyone’s watching (because they totally are – wink, wink).
Sequins, bowties, dramatic flair – bring the sparkle! (Or just your best “dressed for the Oscars… if the Oscars had a dance floor.”)
Catch our fabulous dancers in action with some show-stopping Class Demos to kick off the night – you’ll be cheering in true movie premiere style!
Social dancing to follow – all the glitz, all the glamour, and all your favourite ballroom tunes.

Aloha, VBDS dancers! It’s time to kick off your shoes (well, not literally… dance shoes, please!) and sway into summer at our Tropical Luau Send-Off — our final big social before the summer break!
Think leis, florals, bright colours, beachy flair — an opportunity to wear coconut accessories and sunglasses after dark.
Expect island vibes, laid-back fun, and all the dancing your heart desires. Whether you’re rocking a grass skirt or just a tropical-print shirt, this is the perfect way to celebrate the season with your dance family.
We’re turning up the sunshine with a special Hawaiian dance workshop led by the wonderful Cheryl Paredes Mason from Aloha Fit Hula & Fitness! Learn graceful, fun island-inspired moves to get you in the luau mood — no partner or hula experience needed!
After the workshop, it’s time to mix, mingle, and dance the night away under the (imaginary) palm trees. We’ll have a festive mix of ballroom favourites and tropical tunes to keep the beach party vibes going.

Our three-week Intro to Ballroom is perfect for absolute beginners who want a fun, welcoming, low-pressure way to step onto the dance floor. Over three weeks, you’ll be introduced to six classic ballroom and Latin dances: Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha Cha, and Jive. Open to members and non-members.
