Dancing in the Square

Dancing In The Square has wrapped up for 2024. A huge thank you to all who participated both as dancers and especially volunteers. A big shout-out to Leigh, from Event Service Production who was indispensable in ensuring the success of our event and to Sofia from the City of Victoria for hosting us.

We are likely to move to a new venue for 2025 but we regardless of where we end up, we look forward to entertaining you with some great outdoor dancing next summer.

A short history of DITS.

Dancing in the Square was a VBDS initiative started back in 2012. Working with and sponsored by the City of Victoria, this an annual summertime event was held once a week in Centennial Square usually for six or eight sessions. Sometimes there would be a band, sometimes a DJ but it was always fun.

Covid forced us to change venues to Royal Athletic Park in 2020 and 2021 and construction in Centennial Square during 2022 delayed our return until 2023.
