Dear VBDS members and dancers,
The VBDS board is responding to the Friday, March 13, 2020 update from BC’s health minister and medical health officer regarding COVID-19. The following measures are now in effect:
The March 21st VBDS dance is cancelled.
VBDS practices will continue to be offered at the current locations and times, as long as dancers continue to attend and locations remain open.
VBDS Session 4 classes will continue to run, with the option for students who do not wish to continue to receive a credit for future classes.
Although the virus is not yet spreading in our community, we are in unprecedented times and know that you will consider the recommended safe practices and distancing measures in your decision-making regarding dance lessons and practices.
We ask that you do not attend practices or classes if you are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, or have traveled to a country that has an outbreak unless you have self-isolated for a 14 day period and are symptom-free. Refrain from attending classes or practices if you are feeling unwell, and as always use the recommended hygiene practices.
We continue to keep a close eye on events and will adjust our response based on health advisories.
Should you wish to discontinue lessons, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
We thank you for your patience and understanding, as well as your continued support of VBDS.
