Intermediate Classes Are Back

VBDS Intermediate Series

Ready for the Next Step After Newcomer?

If you’ve completed Newcomer — or have about six to twelve months of ballroom experience and you’re not quite ready for Pre-Bronze — Intermediate may be exactly the right fit.

Intermediate is designed for dancers who already know the basics of all six dances:
Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha, and Jive. It gives you more time to build confidence, improve technique, and make everything feel more comfortable and connected on the floor.

A great fit if you:
  • have completed Newcomer or danced for about 6 months
  • are comfortable with the basics but want more practice and refinement
  • want to strengthen technique and connection before moving into Pre-Bronze
  • are looking for a supportive next step that keeps your momentum going

Extra practice bonus

Anyone enrolled in an Intermediate class may join any Newcomer class at a 50% discount.
That means extra floor time, more repetition, and more chances to strengthen the fundamentals that make everything else easier. Please email to classes@vbds.org to find out how it works.

Intermediate is where dancing often starts to feel smoother, more natural, and more enjoyable. If you’re not quite ready for Pre-Bronze yet, that’s completely okay — this level is here to help you bridge that gap with confidence.

We’d love to see you keep going.
