What: Technique workshop for Musicality and Timing in Standard dances

When: Thursdays 7:00 – 8:00 pm, May 18th to June 8th

Where: Centennial United Church Dance Studio

Price: $50 for VBDS members, $60 for non-members

In this four-week workshop, Victor will focus timing and musicality, how we count slows and quicks in all Standard dances.

These workshops are suitable for most dancers from those with minimal experience all the way up to advanced dancers. It is in fact, perfect for those relatively new to dancing as a good foundation in technique will make future learning more enjoyable and meaningful and will help you advance more quickly. It can be challenging for experienced dancers because we all know how easy it is to fall into bad habits.

Each workshop will start with exercises designed to warm-up, stretch and strengthen key muscle groups used for posture, frame, sway, leg action and footwork.

No partner is required.
