Technique for Standard Dances

What: Technique workshop for Standard dances – Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot and Quickstep

When: Thursdays 7:00 – 8:00 pm, April 20th to May 11th

Where: Centennial United Church Dance Studio

Price: $50 for VBDS members, $62.50 for non-members

In this four-week workshop, Victor will focus on frame, pivots, spins and heel turns in all Standard dances.

These workshops are suitable for most dancers from those with minimal experience all the way up to advanced dancers. It is in fact, perfect for those relatively new to dancing as a good foundation in technique will make future learning more enjoyable and meaningful and will help you advance more quickly. It can be challenging for experienced dancers because we all know how easy it is to fall into bad habits.

Each workshop will start with exercises designed to warm-up, stretch and strengthen key muscle groups used for posture, frame, sway, leg action and footwork.
