What: Workshop – International Style Tango and Rumba

Price: $50 for VBDS Members, $60 for non-members.
Welcome to our series of four dance workshops featuring International Style Tango and Rumba for beginners! If you’re new to dancing, we recommend taking our Intro-to-Ballroom workshops first. But if you’re ready to step up your dance game, join us for an exciting and fun-filled four weeks of dance instruction.
Our workshops are led by the talented and experienced instructor, Victor, who specializes in teaching beginner level International Style syllabus figures. His teaching approach emphasizes having fun while learning to dance as a couple. Whether you come with a partner or fly solo, you’ll be paired up with a dance partner to learn and practice the moves.
To keep things interesting, about half of each class will be devoted to each dance. International Style Tango is a passionate and dramatic dance that originated in Argentina. Victor will teach the basic steps, proper posture, and technique for leading and following. International Style Rumba is a sensual and rhythmic dance that originated in Cuba. You’ll learn the basics of Rumba footwork, hip movement, and Cuban motion.
