Level 2, Newcomer Part 1

What: Level 2, Newcomer Part 1 – Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rumba and Jive

When: Tuesdays, 10:00 – 11:00 AM, October 1^st to November 5^th

Where: St. Luke Anglican Church

Starting something new can be intimidating for even the most confident person. VBDS classes strive to be comfortable and inviting making it easy to step onto the dance floor and have fun while learning something new. In this six-week series of one hour classes, Wanda will cover the Beginner Level steps (syllabus figures) in Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rumba and Jive. By the end of the series students will understand the basic movement and footwork for each dance, will be able to tell the difference in music between the six dances and have a good sense of how to move with together with their partner. After completing this level and the follow up Newcomer Part 2 (more figures from the same six dances) students will be ready for Level 3, Intermediate.

Please note, you DO NOT need a partner to register for classes or workshops. As needed, we will attempt to balance classes with volunteers. Although not required, students will be encouraged to change partners as dancing with different people is very beneficial to learning.
